Baku (Turkey Desk) — The announcement ceremony of the 14th Global Baku Forum and the 12th issue of the journal “Global Policy Analysis” was held in Baku.

The event was organized by the Nizami Ganjavi International Center, where the importance of dialogue and cooperation was highlighted in the context of global challenges, conflicts, and increasing uncertainty.

Secretary General of the Center, Rovshan Muradov, said that the environment of cooperation created under the institution plays an important role in strengthening global dialogue, adding that Baku is being positioned as a key hub for international discourse.

Former World Bank Vice President and Co-Chair of the Center’s Board of Trustees, Ismail Serageldin, said that Baku has become an important meeting point between East and West as well as North and South.

UN Trade and Development Secretary-General Rebeca Grynspan stressed the need for reforms in global institutions, saying that the United Nations must become more effective and representative in line with contemporary global requirements.

Member of the UK House of Lords, Patricia Scotland, described the Baku Forum as an effective platform for promoting global cooperation, while former Serbian leader Mladen Ivanic compared it to major dialogue platforms such as the Munich Security Conference and the Davos Forum.
