Islamabad (Turkey News): In response to rising tensions following the assassination of Ali Khamenei in Iran, all routine services at the US Embassy in Islamabad and US consulates in Karachi, Lahore, and Peshawar have been temporarily suspended.
According to sources, visa appointments, passport services, and other US citizen services have been halted for March 2, 2026. Updates regarding the new schedule will be announced later. This precautionary step has been taken to ensure the safety of diplomatic staff and visitors.
Protests and clashes erupted outside US offices across Iran following the assassination of Khamenei, resulting in several casualties. However, US officials have stated that limited services may be provided for emergency cases to assist citizens in urgent situations.
