Islamabad (Monitoring Desk) — Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir held an important meeting with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi in Iran, in which matters related to the regional situation and reduction of tensions were discussed.
According to Iranian officials, the meeting focused on peace and stability in the Middle East, the security situation, and advancing diplomatic efforts.
Sources say Field Marshal Asim Munir is visiting Tehran as part of efforts to mediate between the United States and Iran.
This visit comes at a time when Iran’s response to American ceasefire proposals is awaited.
On the other hand, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi is also present in Iran and is engaged in various important meetings regarding US-Iran talks.
