Tashkent, Uzbekistan (Showbiz Desk): The 13th session of the Islamic Heritage Committee, part of the educational, scientific, and cultural organization of the Islamic world, is being held from February 10 to 13, according to a report by AZERTAC.
During the meeting, the committee reviewed the nominations submitted for inclusion in the Islamic Heritage List and the Interim Islamic Heritage List.
It was decided that the nomination files prepared by Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Culture for the historical and architectural museum complex in Aghdam’s “Buildings” and the Shusha State Reserve would be included in ICESCO’s Islamic Heritage List.
This marks the first time that Aghdam’s historical sites have been included in international cultural heritage lists, while also recognizing the cultural and historical significance of Shusha.
