Washington (Monitoring Desk): In a shocking development emerging from the U.S. capital, Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro has been taken into custody in the United States.
According to sources, Maduro was transferred under extraordinary security arrangements via helicopter to Manhattan, New York, where he was brought to the offices of the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA). Official videos and images circulating on social media show Maduro being escorted by heavily armed DEA personnel to the agency’s Lower Manhattan office.
He was later moved to a detention facility in Brooklyn for further legal proceedings, where a large contingent of law enforcement agencies has placed him under strict supervision.
