US Prepares Potential Strikes on Iran; Tehran and Israel Boost Security Measures

Washington (Monitoring Desk): Amid speculations of a possible decisive strike on Iran by US President Donald Trump, Western nations have begun evacuating their citizens, and troop reductions have been reported at US military bases in the region.

Sources indicate that Trump seeks a swift yet decisive operation, while Iran has partially reopened its airspace and claimed that security and public order remain intact. Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi dismissed circulating reports about executions of protesters as baseless, asserting that Iran’s resolve cannot be broken by bombardment.

According to Israeli media, the Israeli army has ordered immediate defensive preparations across northern Israel and other regions, opening bomb shelters in anticipation of possible attacks.

The US has identified 50 potential targets in Iran, including Revolutionary Guards headquarters and 23 military bases. Other countries, including Qatar, have reduced American personnel in the Middle East, while German Airlines suspended flights to Israel until January 19, and Air India halted operations through Iranian airspace.

Meanwhile, President Trump expressed doubts about Iranian opposition leader Reza Pahlavi, noting that while he seems respectable, his potential to assume leadership in Iran remains uncertain.
