Washington (Monitoring Desk): The US Central Command (CENTCOM) claimed that American forces destroyed 16 Iranian ships attempting to lay naval mines near the Strait of Hormuz.
CENTCOM stated that the US military is working to reduce Iran’s maritime capabilities while maintaining safe navigation and global maritime security.
Earlier, former US President Donald Trump posted on social media that US forces had completely destroyed 10 ships and vessels laying mines in the past few hours. On Truth Social, Trump warned Iran that any mines placed in the Strait of Hormuz must be removed immediately, or Iran would face severe consequences.
