Tehran (Monitoring Desk): Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has claimed that multiple US military bases in the region were targeted in response to American attacks.
According to the IRGC, long-range missiles were used in the operation, and US installations in various locations including Bahrain, Kuwait, and Jordan were targeted.
In its statement, Iran said that a drone attack was carried out on the US naval fleet stationed in Bahrain, while the Al-Azraq US military base in Jordan was targeted in a missile strike. It further claimed that four key targets were hit in the attack, including fighter jet hangars and a command and control center.
The Iranian Revolutionary Guard also stated that a drone attack was carried out on the Ali Al-Salem military base in Kuwait, and these actions were taken in response to US operations in the region.
Meanwhile, the Kuwaiti military issued a statement saying that its air defense system is active to repel any hostile attacks and that monitoring of the country’s airspace is ongoing.
According to Iranian officials, US strikes in southern Iran damaged a telecommunications tower in the Sirik area and destroyed two water storage tanks. They warned that if US operations continue, retaliatory actions will become more severe.
