United States Deports Three Former Iranian Revolutionary Guard Members

Washington (Monitoring Desk): US authorities have deported three former members of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) and sent them back to Iran. According to the US Department of Homeland Security, the individuals had entered the United States illegally.

The Department of Homeland Security stated that the three former IRGC members were deported on Monday, while the official announcement of the action was made the following day.

This development comes at a time of heightened tensions between the United States and Iran. US President Donald Trump has previously expressed support for ongoing protests in Iran and has also hinted at taking action against Tehran.

Non-governmental organizations linked to the United States and Western countries have accused the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps of using force to suppress protesters inside Iran. It may be recalled that in 2019, US President Donald Trump designated the IRGC as a terrorist organization.

According to the Department of Homeland Security, those deported include Ehsan Khaledi, Mohammad Mehrani, and Morteza Nasiri Kakolaki, who had illegally entered the United States in 2024.

The statement added that American citizens have the right to feel safe within their country and should not face any external threats. However, authorities did not clarify what activities the deported individuals were involved in while in the United States.
