Paris (Monitoring Desk): At the conclusion of an allies’ meeting in France’s capital, the United Kingdom and France have agreed on a military deployment in Ukraine following a peace agreement.

Representatives from 27 countries attended the meeting, discussing the ongoing Russian aggression in Ukraine and the prospects for a ceasefire. According to the meeting’s decisions, a multinational force will be deployed to guarantee Ukraine’s security and prevent potential Russian attacks.

French President Emmanuel Macron stated that stable measures are essential to establish peace in Ukraine, and France will continue its support for the country. UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer explained that the international force will assist Ukraine’s armed forces in organization and in maintaining peace.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky described the progress as an important step toward peace, emphasizing that it will only be possible once the war with Russia ends. U.S. officials also stressed that the deployment of a multinational force would prevent Russia from launching further attacks.
