Turkey Calls Iran’s Strategy Wrong

Ankara (Turkey News) – Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan said on Tuesday that Iran’s strategy of bombing all Gulf countries “without making any distinction” is an “incredibly wrong strategy.”

In an interview with state news broadcaster TRT Haber, Fidan addressed the tense situation in the region that emerged after the U.S. and Israel launched military strikes on Iran on February 28. He said the region is going through “extremely critical” days.

He added that over the past 20 years, the region has endured severe pain and wars, and the current conflict is not limited to Iran alone. “When we observe the effects of war, as we had predicted earlier, it is spreading across the entire region,” Fidan said.

U.S. President Donald Trump announced “Operation Epic Fury” on Saturday, in which Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei and top military officials were reportedly targeted. Iran responded with drone and missile attacks on Israel and Gulf countries, where U.S. assets are also present.
