Washington (Monitoring Desk) U.S. President Donald Trump has issued a strong and severe warning to Iran, following his relatively moderate stance in recent statements. He stated that any attempt by Tehran to harm him would be met with an extremely harsh response.
In an interview with News Nation on Wednesday evening, Trump said he had already issued clear instructions for a decisive reaction in case of any potential action. He added that these directives are at the highest levels and that any threat is being taken seriously.
Trump also criticized former President Joe Biden, saying that past and present presidents should have supported each other in such matters. He argued that Biden should have taken a clear stance on the issue.
It is worth noting that during the 2024 election campaign, U.S. intelligence officials briefed Trump on potential threats, according to former Attorney General Merrick Garland. These concerns stemmed from retaliation risks following the 2020 killing of Iranian General Qassem Soleimani, which had been linked to Tehran’s response plans.
