Washington (Monitoring Desk) US President Donald Trump has claimed that Iran is suffering an estimated loss of around $500 million per day due to the alleged blockade of the Strait of Hormuz, increasing economic pressure on Tehran amid ongoing regional tensions.
In a statement posted on his social media platform, Trump said the financial losses are significantly weakening Iran’s economy and that the situation may continue until a final agreement is reached.
He added that no country can sustain such financial damage in the long term, and therefore Iran must reconsider its position.
Trump also criticized certain US media outlets, accusing them of portraying the issue as anti-American propaganda and distorting facts.
