Beijing (Monitoring Desk) An important meeting was held at the Great Hall between US President Donald Trump and Chinese President Xi Jinping, in which bilateral relations, global stability, and the promotion of trade cooperation were discussed in detail.
At the beginning of the meeting, Chinese President Xi Jinping welcomed the US President and his delegation, saying that meeting Trump in Beijing was a pleasure for him.
He said that the stability of China-US relations is of positive importance not only for both countries but also for peace and stability around the world.
Xi Jinping added that, as two major global powers, both countries carry a shared responsibility for promoting global peace.
