Dubai (Monitoring Desk) Benjamin Netanyahu secretly visited the United Arab Emirates during the war with Iran and held an important meeting with UAE President Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
According to international news agency Reuters, the Israeli Prime Minister’s Office confirmed in a statement that during the ongoing military operation against Iran, named “Lion’s Roar,” Netanyahu made an unannounced visit to the UAE.
The statement said that as a result of this secret meeting, a historic development was seen in Israel-UAE relations.
This is the first time Israel has officially acknowledged that Benjamin Netanyahu held a direct meeting with the Emirati leadership during the war with Iran.
Meanwhile, US broadcaster CBS News reported, citing sources, that the meeting included detailed discussions on regional security conditions, military cooperation against Iran, and defense ties.
According to the report, Emirati officials were approached for comment, but no official response has been issued so far.
