Accra (Monitoring Desk): The case linked to a self-proclaimed prophet, Ebo Noah, in the African country of Ghana has taken an unexpected turn after an unidentified person set fire to a boat that was being promoted as a means of survival from a global storm.
Ebo Noah had claimed that on December 25, 2025, a massive storm would strike across the world and that only those aboard selected boats would remain safe. Interestingly, it later emerged that the boat which was set ablaze did not actually belong to Ebo Noah but to another individual.
Nevertheless, the incident is being viewed as a strong warning to the self-styled prophet and his followers—especially those who believed his claims to the extent of selling their properties.
The development comes at a time when Ebo Noah was recently seen stepping out of a brand-new 2025 model Mercedes vehicle, reportedly worth around 89,000 dollars according to local sources. Reports suggest the car was purchased using money collected from his followers, triggering widespread public outrage.
According to local media, Ghana’s security forces have taken Ebo Noah into custody on charges of spreading false information and misleading the public. Authorities say that his claims caused severe financial and psychological distress to many individuals.
It is worth noting that Ebo Noah had released multiple videos claiming that a global storm was inevitable and that he had arranged seats on boats at specific locations to ensure survival. These videos showed several people following his instructions and abandoning their daily routines, prompting authorities to take strict notice of the matter.
