Shahbaz Sharif Extends Open Offer for Dialogue to PTI

Islamabad (Turk Khabar): Prime Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif stated that if Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) is genuinely ready for negotiations, the government is fully prepared for dialogue. However, he emphasized that no talks can take place under illegal demands or blackmail.

Addressing a cabinet meeting, he clarified that it has been repeatedly stated in the National Assembly that negotiations can proceed on legitimate and constitutional points. PTI members have already been invited for dialogue within the assembly.

The Prime Minister highlighted that harmony among all political parties is essential for Pakistan’s progress and prosperity. While discussing the privatization of PIA, he noted that the relevant authorities and cabinet members worked diligently on the process. He explained that bids were received in sealed envelopes, and the bidding process was conducted transparently. Successful bids are expected to improve matters, with the Deputy Prime Minister, Defense Minister, and Finance Minister contributing significantly.

Shahbaz Sharif described this as the largest transaction in Pakistan’s history, stressing that all stages must be presented again to the cabinet. He also expressed happiness over the awarding of the King Abdulaziz Medal to the Field Marshal, saying it enhanced the honor of the entire nation.

The Prime Minister congratulated the Pakistan Under-19 cricket team on winning the Asia Cup and expressed hope that the national cricket team will continue to perform brilliantly in the future.
