Severe Cold Grips Pakistan, Sub-Zero Temperatures in Northern Areas

Lahore (Pakistan News): A wave of severe cold continues across Pakistan, with temperatures in northern areas dropping several degrees below freezing.

According to the Meteorological Department, temperatures were recorded at minus 12°C in Leh, minus 10°C in Skardu, minus 9°C in Gupis, minus 8°C in Astor, minus 7°C in Gilgit, minus 6°C in both Bagrot and Hunza, and minus 5°C in Quetta. Murree experienced minus 1°C, while Quetta and Muzaffarabad recorded 0°C.

Sources reported that Islamabad and Peshawar saw temperatures of 1°C, while Lahore and Sukkur recorded 2°C. Authorities have advised citizens to wear warm clothing and take precautionary measures against the harsh cold and lack of sunlight.
