Seventh Security Dialogue Meeting Between Azerbaijan and the European Union, Agreement to Enhance Cooperation

Baku (Turkiye Khabar) The seventh meeting of the Security Dialogue between Azerbaijan and the European Union was held in the capital, where detailed discussions were held on bilateral relations and regional affairs.

During the meeting, the two sides held constructive talks on foreign policy and security issues of mutual interest and reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthening bilateral relations.

The meeting appreciated recent visits of senior European Union officials to Azerbaijan and their meetings with President Ilham Aliyev, noting that these high-level engagements have further strengthened cooperation between both sides.

Both parties emphasized the importance of advancing new partnership agreements and ongoing negotiations, while also agreeing to continue regular contacts under the existing contractual framework.

The discussions also covered regional developments, global politics, energy security, connectivity, and projects such as the Middle Corridor. The European Union described Azerbaijan as an important partner for regional connectivity and energy diversification, stressing the need for sustainable and rules-based cooperation.
