Yemen (Monitoring Desk): Contrary to the United Arab Emirates’ claims of promoting peace in eastern Yemen, Saudi Arabia has described Abu Dhabi’s recent actions as deeply concerning. Riyadh maintains that these activities go against the agreed principles and mutual coordination of the Arab coalition.
According to Saudi officials, the UAE’s pressure on forces of the Southern Transitional Council to carry out military operations near Saudi Arabia’s southern borders poses a serious threat to the Kingdom’s national security. Riyadh warns that such moves not only undermine border security but could further weaken the already fragile stability in Yemen.
The Saudi position clearly emphasizes that resolving the Yemen crisis requires political reconciliation and a coordinated joint strategy rather than military pressure, cautioning that any unilateral steps could escalate tensions across the region.
