Pakistan Fully Supports Somalia’s Sovereignty and Territorial Integrity: Ishaq Dar

Jeddah (Turkiya News): Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar stated that Israel’s recognition of Somaliland and the visit of its foreign minister to the region constitutes a direct attack on Somalia’s internationally recognized borders. Pakistan fully supports Somalia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.

Addressing the extraordinary session of the OIC Council of Foreign Ministers, Ishaq Dar condemned Israel’s action as illegal and illegitimate. He emphasized that under international law, the sovereignty and territorial integrity of any state are inviolable, and no external country or entity has the right to interfere.

The Deputy Prime Minister noted that the Israeli foreign minister’s visit to Somaliland poses a threat to regional peace and security and could further complicate the situation in the Horn of Africa and the Red Sea. Pakistan, together with OIC member states, has rejected this move and also condemned Israel’s actions at the United Nations.

Ishaq Dar added that Israel’s decision could negatively impact Somalia’s development, national reconciliation, constitutional reforms, and economic transparency. He praised the sacrifices of the Somali people and security forces, assuring that Pakistan will continue to provide all possible support for stability in the region.
