Pakistan Day Celebrated Across the Country with Patriotism and Fervor

Lahore (Turkey News): March 23, a day to renew the pledge to the homeland, was celebrated across Pakistan with national enthusiasm and patriotism.

The day began with a 31-gun salute in the federal capital and 21-gun salutes in provincial capitals. Takbeer slogans echoed in the skies, and prayers for the safety and progress of the country and nation were offered after Fajr prayers in mosques.

This year, in light of tense conditions in the Middle East and ongoing austerity measures domestically, Pakistan Day was observed with simplicity. The parade was canceled, and the central flag hoisting ceremony was conducted in a dignified but modest manner.

On this occasion, Governor of Sindh, Nuhal Hashmi and Chief Minister of Sindh, Murad Ali Shah visited Mazar-e-Quaid. Members of the Sindh cabinet accompanied the Chief Minister. The Governor and Chief Minister laid flowers, recited Fatiha, and recorded their impressions in the visitors’ book.
