Baku (Turkiye Khabar) The Temporary Committee on Foreign Interference and Hybrid Threats of the National Assembly of Azerbaijan has issued a statement saying that an organized information and propaganda campaign is being carried out against the country.
According to the state news agency AZERTAC, the committee said in its statement that in recent days a coordinated campaign has been targeting Azerbaijan as well as the peace agenda between Azerbaijan and Armenia.
The statement said that certain Armenian lobbying groups active in various countries, specific media outlets, and some influential individuals are part of this campaign and are promoting a single narrative.
According to the committee, the campaign is focused on issues such as so-called genocide allegations, prisoners of war, and construction activities in Khankendi. It further added that encrypted communication channels, emails, and messaging platforms are being used to keep the propaganda organized.
The statement also said that Armenian lobbying organizations in the United States, Europe, and Russia are playing a more active role in this campaign.
According to a one-week analysis of the social media platform X, more than 220 posts were made through around 130 accounts, receiving nearly one million interactions, and this activity was mainly carried out by Armenian bloggers and their foreign supporters.
