Sanaa (Monitoring Desk): According to reports from Sanaa, the Yemeni Shura Council welcomed Saudi Arabia’s clear stance, stating that the military movements of the Interim Council in the governorates of Hadhramaut and Al-Mahrah were carried out without the approval of the Presidential Leadership Council, resulting in an illegal escalation.
In its statement, the Shura Council expressed support for Saudi Arabia’s unilateral action and position, declaring that the Interim Council’s advances in Hadhramaut, Al-Mahrah, and previously in Shabwa violated the Riyadh Agreement.
The statement further noted that the council endorses Saudi Arabia’s demand for the Interim Council to immediately withdraw its forces from these areas. It also praised the efforts of Rashad al-Alimi, Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council, and welcomed the joint initiatives of Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, which are helping to stabilize the situation.
The Yemeni Shura Council emphasized that all parties should cooperate under the principles of the Riyadh Agreement to ensure peace and stability, preventing the crisis in Yemen from escalating further.
