Beirut (Monitoring Desk): Ongoing Israeli attacks in Lebanon have led to a sharp rise in the number of displaced individuals across the country.
According to Lebanese authorities, Disaster Risk Management Unit reported that 134,377 people are currently residing in state-run shelters, spread across 644 facilities. The total affected population includes 34,074 families.
Officials warned that following the resumption of Israeli attacks, the situation in Lebanon has become extremely severe. Nearly one-fifth of the country’s population—over one million people—have been forced to flee their homes.
