Islamabad (Turkiye News): The freight train service from Islamabad to Tehran and Istanbul, scheduled to start today, has been postponed due to the absence of security clearance.
According to railway authorities, the train was planned to travel from Islamabad via Sibi to Spizan Junction, and then through Nushki and Dalbandin to enter Iran via Mirjawa. The Quetta Division of the Railways Department had completed all arrangements for the train’s arrival, but the service could not commence as security approval was not granted a day before departure.
Railway officials stated that the train service will begin soon after a new date is announced and the required security clearance is obtained.
