Moscow (Monitoring Desk): Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has said that his recent visit to Islamabad was highly productive, where he held positive and constructive consultations with various officials.
Speaking to media upon arrival in Moscow, he said that Iran and Russia maintain close coordination on regional and global issues, and his visit is part of that ongoing diplomatic engagement.
He added that during his meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin, detailed discussions will be held on the war situation and recent regional developments, which will further strengthen coordination between the two countries.
According to the Iranian foreign minister, meetings in Islamabad also included discussions on past developments and a possible framework for Iran–U.S. negotiations.
He further stated that during his visit to Oman, issues related to the Strait of Hormuz were also discussed, as both Iran and Oman are coastal states of this strategic waterway, making mutual consultation essential.
Abbas Araghchi emphasized that coordination among regional countries for the protection of trade and maritime routes is a necessity, and high-level diplomatic consultations will continue on this basis.
