Islamabad (Turkiye Khabar) Pakistan will remain steadfast on regional peace, the unity of the Muslim Ummah, and its stance on فلسطين and Kashmir.
Islamabad: Prime Minister of Pakistan Shehbaz Sharif expressed hope that the ongoing negotiations between Iran and the United States would soon lead to lasting peace and stability in the region. He said that Pakistan would continue to play its positive and effective role in promoting peace in the region.
Addressing the 6th Paigham-e-Islam Conference organized by the Pakistan Ulema Council, the Prime Minister said that the protection of the Two Holy Mosques holds immense importance for Pakistan, and the defense agreements in this regard are proof of Pakistan’s unwavering commitment.
He thanked Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, as well as China and Turkey, saying these countries played an important role in paving the way for peace talks between Iran and the United States.
Shehbaz Sharif said that the Field Marshal played a key role in bringing both countries to the negotiating table, while Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar also made extensive diplomatic efforts in this regard. According to the Prime Minister, the leadership of the United States and Iran visited Islamabad at Pakistan’s invitation, and for the first time since 1979, direct talks were held between the two countries.
The Prime Minister said that elements involved in spreading division within the Muslim Ummah and engaging in terrorism cannot be true representatives of Islam. He stated unequivocally that Pakistan remains committed to its principled stance on Kashmir and Palestine and will continue its political, diplomatic, and moral support for the people of Kashmir and Palestine until they are granted their rights.
