Washington (Monitoring Desk): US President Donald Trump has said that the ongoing military operation against Iran could be completed within approximately four weeks or even less. In an interview with a British newspaper, he stated that the campaign was initially estimated to last four weeks and, despite various complexities, the timeline is not expected to extend significantly.
Last month, President Trump announced that US forces had launched a large-scale operation against Iran. According to him, the objective of the move is to curb Iran’s nuclear and missile programs and to weaken its naval capabilities.
Meanwhile, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu confirmed that the United States and Israel are taking joint measures in this regard, describing the actions as necessary in view of what he called the Iranian threat.
On the other hand, Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps has announced a major retaliatory response, stating that Israeli targets will be struck. Some international media outlets have also reported threats to target US installations in the Gulf region.
In a separate video message, President Trump urged the Iranian people to play a decisive role in shaping their political future. He called on those seeking freedom to show courage and stand up for their country, adding that the United States stands with the Iranian people.
