Indian Hindu and Khalistani Sikh Protesters Face Off in London, Police Intervene

London (Monitoring Desk): Tensions flared outside the Bangladeshi Embassy in London as Indian Hindu protesters and a Khalistani Sikh group confronted each other, prompting clashes and immediate police intervention.

The Indian Hindu protesters were demonstrating against the killing of a Hindu citizen in Bangladesh. The protest turned controversial when Khalistani Sikhs arrived, waving Khalistan flags in support of Bangladesh.

Eyewitnesses reported intense shouting and scuffles between the two groups. The British police promptly intervened, separating the groups and establishing a security perimeter around the Bangladeshi Embassy to prevent further escalation.

During the protest, Khalistani Sikhs chanted slogans against Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, including “Who killed Hadi? Modi, Modi, India” and “Who killed Shaheed Najjar? Modi, Modi, India,” giving the demonstration a strongly anti-Modi character.

Police confirmed that the situation is under control, and additional security measures remain in place around the embassy.
