Islamabad (Turkey News):Severe snowfall across northern and upper regions of the country has disrupted daily life. Roads leading to Murree, Diamer, Neelum, and Abbottabad are closed, leaving tourists stranded in local areas.
According to PDMA Punjab, snowfall in Murree has continued overnight, and more snow and rain are forecasted over the next 24 hours. The extreme weather has already resulted in two deaths and multiple injuries across affected areas.
Safety Measures:
- Entry to Murree has been restricted to locals only.
- Police have mandated that all vehicles must be equipped with snow chains and winter tires.
- Individuals without proper safety arrangements are not allowed to enter Murree.
Authorities have urged both tourists and locals to exercise caution and avoid non-essential travel during this severe cold spell.
