Gul Plaza Tragedy Investigation Report Completed: 79 Dead

Karachi (Turkey News): The Commissioner of Karachi has finalized the investigation report on the Gul Plaza tragedy. According to sources, the report was prepared by an investigative committee consisting of the Commissioner and Additional IG and will be submitted to Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah.

The report covers causes of the fire, firefighting efforts, rescue operations, details from eyewitnesses, affected individuals, and information collected from rescue authorities.

According to the investigation, the fire originated in a flower shop on the ground floor, started by a child, which quickly spread through air conditioning ducts to other parts of the building. A total of 79 people lost their lives, most of them on the mezzanine floor of Gul Plaza.

The fire reportedly started at 10:15 PM, with the fire brigade being informed at 10:26 PM. The Deputy Commissioner South arrived on site at 10:30 PM, the first fire tender at 10:37 PM, and Rescue 1122 personnel at 10:53 PM.
