Moscow (Monitoring Desk): Russian President Vladimir Putin stated that the global situation is continuously deteriorating and that humanity needs increased cooperation at this time.
Addressing a ceremony in Moscow where new ambassadors presented their credentials, Putin reiterated Russia’s position that the framework for global security should be built on new foundations, and that Russia’s proposals on this matter deserve serious discussion.
President Putin noted that unilateral actions backed by force are on the rise, while diplomacy, dialogue, and compromise are being sidelined. He said some countries are attempting to dictate to others how to live, which decisions to make, and which direction to take.
He emphasized the need for stronger international enforcement of law to ensure a more just and multipolar world. Putin stated that Russia is committed to the concept of a multipolar world and designs its foreign policy with balance and constructive thinking, taking into account both national interests and global trends.
The Russian President clarified that Russia seeks open and mutually beneficial relations with all countries and is ready to deepen cooperation in political, economic, and humanitarian fields. He also stressed the importance of the central role of the United Nations, noting that the UN Charter is more significant today than ever.
