Geneva (Monitoring Desk) – Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian announced that his country is striving to achieve concrete results in talks with Washington. However, according to US Vice President JD Vance, Iran is still not prepared to accept certain “red lines” set by former President Donald Trump.
The statement came just hours after the second round of talks between the two countries in Geneva. Vice President JD Vance noted that the United States remains interested in a diplomatic path and that progress has been made on some issues where the Iranians later agreed to further meetings.
However, he emphasized that on other critical aspects, the “red lines” remain, particularly regarding Trump-era conditions related to Iran’s nuclear program, on which Iran is not ready to negotiate.
