Ankara (Turkey News): Recep Tayyip Erdogan, President of Turkey, held a telephone conversation on Tuesday with Shehbaz Sharif, discussing bilateral relations, Iran, and regional developments, according to the Turkish Presidency’s Directorate of Communications.
During the talks, the leaders addressed the ongoing conflict triggered by Israeli and U.S. attacks on Iran, with Erdogan emphasizing that re-engaging diplomacy in the region could bring significant benefits and affirming that Turkey stands ready to provide all possible support.
The discussion also covered broader Turkey-Pakistan relations and global issues. Erdogan condemned recent terrorist attacks in Pakistan and reaffirmed Turkey’s ongoing cooperation with Islamabad against terrorism. He added that Turkey will also assist in restoring the ceasefire between Pakistan and Afghanistan, continuing its previous facilitation efforts in the region.
