Islamabad (Turkey News): Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi announced that, starting January 1, vehicles without an M-Tag will not be allowed to enter Islamabad.
Minister Naqvi chaired a meeting at the Safe City Headquarters to review measures for the protection of citizens’ lives and property. During the meeting, he also directed that work on the Capital Smart City project be accelerated.
He stated that Islamabad will become Pakistan’s first smart city and requested a comprehensive plan report to transform Safe City Islamabad into Capital Smart City.
Minister Naqvi, along with Minister of State Talal Chaudhry, visited the Safe City Headquarters, where they reviewed the city’s monitoring system on the digital wall and observed public safety measures using modern technology. During the visit, they also inspected security surveillance at the Special Chinese Desk in the control room.
These initiatives are part of the government’s efforts to make Islamabad a modern, technology-equipped, and secure city.
