Digital Media Played Key Role in Pak-India Tensions: Atta Ullah Tarar

Islamabad (Turkiye Khabar): Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Atta Ullah Tarar stated that during the recent Pakistan–India tensions, digital media played an effective and significant role.

Emphasizing the need to discourage fake news, negative propaganda, and disinformation, he said that greater cooperation within the media, particularly the digital sector, is essential to address this challenge.

Speaking at the CPEC Media Forum, the federal minister highlighted that the strategic partnership between Pakistan and China has strengthened over time, with both countries committed to enhancing collaboration across various sectors, including media. He described this friendship as historic, exemplary, and enduring, noting that the two nations have supported each other in every difficult moment.

Atta Ullah Tarar further stated that the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) project has proven to be a game-changer not only for economic growth but also for social development, while helping to connect different countries.

He added that in the current era, distinguishing between fake news and disinformation is a major challenge, and to present Pakistan’s stance effectively on a global level, Digital Pakistan TV has been established.
