Baku (Turkey News) Azerbaijan’s Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov met with Jung Hyun Pak, the Republic of Korea’s candidate for judge at the International Court of Justice.
According to Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the meeting discussed cooperation within international institutions as well as matters related to the upcoming elections for judges of the International Court of Justice.
During the meeting, the Korean candidate provided a detailed briefing on his professional expertise, experience in international law, and future priorities.
Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov said that Azerbaijan attaches great importance to the rule of international law, multilateral cooperation, and strengthening the role of global judicial institutions, emphasizing that professional qualifications of candidates are given special importance in judicial appointments.
The discussion also included regional developments in the South Caucasus and efforts aimed at ensuring sustainable peace and stability in the post-conflict period.
