Azerbaijan (Turkey News) — Chairman of Azerbaijan’s Central Bank (CBA), Taleh Kazimov, stated at a press conference that the bank has revised upward its forecast for the country’s GDP growth in 2026.
He said the country’s economy is expected to grow by 2.4% in 2026, including an estimated 4% increase in the non-oil and gas sector. Kazimov added that the growth rate is projected to rise to 2.9% in 2027, with the non-oil and gas sector expected to grow by 4.3%.
For context, in October 2025, the CBA had forecast GDP growth of 2% for 2026 and 4.4% for the non-oil and gas sector. Azerbaijan’s economy grew by 1.4% in 2025.
