Baku (Turkiye News): Azerbaijan is preparing to introduce stricter punishments for terrorism-related crimes, with proposed amendments to the criminal code. This development has emerged in connection with the Milli Majlis.
Under the proposed amendments, individuals found guilty of establishing, leading, or heading affiliated groups of a terrorist organization could face prison sentences ranging from 10 to 14 years.
Similarly, those who join a terrorist organization or participate in its activities may face imprisonment ranging from 7 to 12 years.
According to officials, these measures aim to further strengthen national security and ensure effective legal action against terrorism.
