Baku (Turkiya News) – Azerbaijan’s Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov and Portugal’s Minister of State and Foreign Affairs Paulo Rangel held an important telephone conversation focusing on bilateral cooperation, its development potential, and regional and international security issues.
During the discussion, the Portuguese minister announced that his country will expand its diplomatic presence in Azerbaijan by opening a new embassy, a move that was appreciated by Minister Bayramov. The foreign ministers also discussed the mechanism for political consultations, the importance of mutual visits, and opportunities to enhance cooperation in the fields of economy, energy, trade, transport, and tourism.
Both nations emphasized the need for mutual support and collaboration within international organizations. Additionally, the foreign ministers expressed concern over rising military tensions in the Middle East and stressed the importance of pursuing diplomatic measures to resolve conflicts.
