Baku (Turkiye News) — Azerbaijan and Georgia have agreed to resume daily passenger train service on the Baku–Tbilisi–Baku route, which will be restored from 26 May.
According to Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Economy, the decision was made on the sidelines of the 13th session of the World Urban Forum (WUF13), during which Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze visited Azerbaijan.
Under the agreement, the railway service is being reactivated to improve travel facilities between the two countries and strengthen regional connectivity. The move is expected to enhance public transportation and boost commercial relations between Azerbaijan and Georgia.
