Activities of Aliyev Foundation continue for restoration of historical heritage in Sheki

Baku (Turkey News Desk) Important steps have been taken in the restoration of historical and cultural heritage in Sheki, under which several historical buildings and sites have been restored and opened to the public.

According to the Azerbaijani state news agency AZERTAC, Leila Aliyeva and Arzu Aliyeva participated in these events.

During the visit, both personalities inspected restored historical buildings and sites in the Yukhari Bash Historical and Architectural Reserve.

On this occasion, they also visited the Shabaka (stained glass art) training center and workshop, as well as the Sheki Museum of History and Ethnology, where they were shown exhibitions related to local history, culture, handicrafts, and traditional heritage.

According to the report, the Sheki Museum houses more than 3,000 artifacts, a large number of which are displayed for exhibition purposes.

Officials said that these restoration and conservation projects will continue in order to preserve historical heritage, promote local traditional crafts, and enhance tourism opportunities.
