$71 Billion Needed for Gaza Reconstruction, Global Agencies Call for Urgent Aid

Gaza (Monitoring Desk) Following widespread destruction caused by Israeli attacks, it has been revealed that massive financial resources are required for the reconstruction of Gaza.

According to a joint report by the United Nations and the European Union, approximately $71.4 billion will be needed for the complete rehabilitation of Gaza.

The report states that over the past 24 months of war and airstrikes, residential buildings, roads, hospitals, educational institutions, and basic infrastructure have been severely damaged.

According to the figures, millions of people have been displaced due to large-scale destruction, while the sectors of health, education, and employment are also under extreme pressure.

Experts say that the reconstruction of Gaza will be a long, complex, and costly process requiring international financial and technical support.

The United Nations and the European Union have appealed to the global community to immediately initiate reconstruction efforts so that basic facilities can be restored for the affected population and stability in the region can be achieved.
