Ankara (Turkiye Khabar) The third meeting of the coordination council established to promote bilateral cooperation between Turkey and Saudi Arabia was held on Wednesday in Ankara.
The meeting was co-chaired by Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan and his Saudi counterpart Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud.
According to a statement issued by the Turkish Foreign Minister on social media, representatives from relevant ministries and institutions of both countries also participated in the meeting.
During the discussions, a review was conducted of ongoing committees in key sectors such as trade, energy, defense, education, culture, tourism, and transportation. Emphasis was placed on further strengthening bilateral relations on an institutional basis.
The meeting also included detailed discussions on the regional situation, particularly the ongoing tensions in Gaza.
On this occasion, both countries also signed a mutual visa-free entry agreement for holders of diplomatic and special passports.
The Turkish Foreign Minister thanked the Saudi delegation and expressed hope that the decisions taken during the meeting would yield positive outcomes for both countries.
