Istanbul (Turkiye News) Turkey has announced that it will host the NATO summit in Ankara on July 7 and 8, 2026.
According to Burhanettin Duran, Turkey’s Director of Communications, the summit represents an important milestone in shaping the future of global security and is expected to have a significant impact on the international security architecture.
He said that under the leadership of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Turkey is playing an effective role in the global system by demonstrating the ability to take responsibility, offer solutions, and translate the principles of alliance into action.
Burhanettin Duran added that Turkey, due to its geographical importance, strong commitment to NATO, and effective crisis management capacity, is positioned at the center of transatlantic security.
He further stated that by hosting NATO leaders, Turkey will once again reaffirm its commitment to promoting peace, stability, and collective security.
