Hope for Progress in US–Iran Talks, American Delegation to Depart for Pakistan Today

Washington (Monitoring Desk) White House spokesperson Caroline Leavitt has said that Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner will depart for Pakistan today for negotiations.

She stated that J.D. Vance will remain in the United States to monitor the situation, and has also been kept ready for possible travel to Pakistan if needed.

According to the spokesperson, there is hope that the talks will remain positive and may lead to progress toward an agreement.

Caroline Leavitt further said that Iran itself contacted and requested the meeting, after which progress has been seen in the negotiation process.

She added that Pakistan has played an important mediating role in the entire process and efforts to reduce tensions in the region are ongoing.
